Années 2020, bien après les exploits d’Initial D. Les voitures autonomes sans conducteur sont largement utilisées au Japon et les routes publiques sont utilisées pour les courses automobiles. À cette époque, une course appelée MFG est devenue populaire dans le monde entier. Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini… Les participants sont invités à courir avec leurs voitures les plus rapides. Parmi eux, Kanata Rivington, jeune diplômé d'une école de pilotage britannique, rentre au Japon pour des raisons très personnelles…
