Handlung

202X: eine Zukunft jenseits von Initial D. Selbstfahrende Autos sind in Japan weitverbreitet, und öffentliche Straßen werden für Autorennen genutzt. In dieser Zeit hat ein Rennen namens MFG weltweit an Popularität gewonnen. Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini – die Teilnehmer werden eingeladen, mit ihren schnellsten Sportwagen anzutreten. Einer dieser Teilnehmer ist Kanata Livington, der unter der Anleitung von Takumi Fujiwara eine britische Rennsportschule absolvierte. Er kehrt nach Japan zurück, um am MFG teilzunehmen und ein weiteres Ziel zu erfüllen.
