Gelegen in een geïsoleerd en ontoegankelijk Antarctisch onderzoeksstation waarin de winter op de Zuidpool is gevallen en de zon binnenkort zal verdwijnen voor de komende zes maanden, zal een klein team, bekend als de Winterers, op het Polaris VI Antarctic Research Station blijven om hun innovatieve onderzoek voort te zetten onder leiding van de gerenommeerde bioloog Arthur Wilde.

On this occasion, the team of scientists changes scenery, heading to a lawless desert to continue their research. When the director of the experiment is found decapitated, they must once again fight for their survival in an environment where nature is not the only hostile force.
