Silicon Valley-pionier Paul LeBlanc ontdekt dat een van zijn eigen creaties - een krachtige A.I. genaamd neXt - zou de ondergang voor de mensheid kunnen betekenen, dus probeert hij het project te sluiten, maar wordt hij door zijn eigen broer uit het bedrijf gegooid, waardoor hij alleen maar bang wordt voor het lot van de wereld. Silicon Valley pioneer Paul LeBlanc joins forces with Special Agent Shea Salazar after a series of tech mishaps places the world in danger. Paul juggles his health and family life while Shea's son experiences bullying at school.

Concerned about her son, Shea recruits Paul and her co-workers C.M., Gina and Ben to help use Ethan's connection with Iliza to track NEXT's possible location. Paul tries to rekindle his relationship with his daughter, Abby, and grapples with the onset of his health condition.
