Trama

Paul LeBlanc è il fondatore della Zava Corp, una società all’avanguardia che si occupa di sicurezza cibernetica in ambito domestico. I suoi esperti ogni giorno si dedicano al controllo delle entità di Intelligenza Artificiale realizzate dalla società e di come interagiscono con l’essere umano. Un giorno, però, LeBlanc è costretto a cominciare un’indagine insieme all’agente speciale Shea Salazar. Pare infatti che una delle sue pionieristiche creazioni, un’Intelligenza Artificiale che ha appunto nome NEXT, sia malvagia e in grado di migliorare se stessa costantemente e in totale autonomia. Un’entità, dunque, estremamente pericolosa per l’uomo.

Concerned about her son, Shea recruits Paul and her co-workers C.M., Gina and Ben to help use Ethan's connection with Iliza to track NEXT's possible location. Paul tries to rekindle his relationship with his daughter, Abby, and grapples with the onset of his health condition.
