Sinopse

A série, situada na Terra após a guerra causada pela chegada de aliení­genas, acompanha Jeb Nolan (Grant Bowler) e seu retorno à cidade de St. Louis. Agora chamada de Defiance, o lugar serve como campo de refugiados onde vivem humanos e aliení­genas civis. Rapidamente ele assume o controle do lugar, atuando como o xerife, enfrentando toda espécie de criminosos. Jeb tem como assistente a jovem Irisa (Stephanie Leonidas), uma guerreira alienígena da raça Irathients que ele adotou depois de matar seu pai.

Following the events of the season two cliffhanger finale, season three of Defiance opens on the eve of an impending military siege upon the town, which has fallen on hard times following the collapse of its lucrative mines.

    Nolan and Irisa are mysteriously rescued from their underground confinement just in time to discover that enemy forces are marching on the town of Defiance, which has fallen on hard times following the collapse of the gulanite mines. Meanwhile, Datak, Stahma and Rafe run into deadly complications on their quest to reunite their family; and Alak comes to realize just how unstable her mother-in-law is during their journey through the woods.
