Beschrijving
Na de dood van zijn grootvader ontdekt de 30-jarige vrijgezel Daikichi dat hij een buitenechtelijk kind heeft. Het rustige meisje genaamd Rin wordt uitgesloten van haar andere familieleden omdat niemand iets met de kleine te maken wil hebben. Alleen Daikichi besluit spontaan en uit woede op zijn andere familieleden om de kleine in huis te nemen. Voor de rustige en verlegen Daikichi verandert zijn leven plotseling compleet: het opvoeden van een kind is voor hem een nieuwe en voorheen onbekende uitdaging.
