Conçue dans le but de contrer une pandémie virale d’encéphalite, la technologie « Your Forma » fait désormais partie intégrante de la société. Permettant de recueillir les émotions et perceptions de ses utilisateurs, elle se révèle particulièrement utile pour les forces de l’ordre, notamment pour Echika, une télégraphiste. Bien que son talent soit unanimement reconnu, aucun de ses assistants n’a su égaler ses compétences, ce qui conduit sa hiérarchie à lui attribuer Harold Lucraft, un androïde de génie. Un choix délicat pour Echika, qui nourrit une profonde aversion pour les robots.
