Irak, 2003. Trænet til at rekognoscere bag fjendens linjer fik en First Recon-enhed til opgave at lede an i invasionen. Baseret på Evan Wrights roste bog af samme navn fra 2004 fokuserer miniserien Generation Kill på de første 40 dage af Irak-krigen – også kendt som "Operation Iraqi Freedom" – set gennem øjnene på en gruppe amerikanske marinesoldater, der var spydspids i invasionen.     Having reached Baghdad, Bravo Team is shocked at the size of the city. While First Recon begin doing their daily patrols in Baghdad, they find out the obstacles that they and the Iraqis face is much greater than they could ever think of.
