Trama
Tornato a casa per il funerale del nonno, Daikichi, 30 anni, scopre che il vecchio ha avuto una figlia da una recente relazione con una donna molto più giovane. Il resto della famiglia, palesemente in imbarazzo, ha già deciso di non voler avere nulla a che fare con la piccola e silenziosa Rin. In uno scatto d'orgoglio Daikichi decide di prendersene cura, scoprendo poi che crescere una bambina è tutt'altro che semplice. Eppure Rin riesce lentamente a scalfire quel guscio duro che l'uomo si era creato attorno e forse sarà proprio lei, seppure così piccola, a guidarlo alla ricerca di un nuovo amore.

30-year-old bachelor businessman Daikichi Kawachi encounters Rin, a girl he's never seen before, at his grandfather's funeral. Surprisingly, the 6-year-old girl turns out to be his grandfather's love child. Daikichi doesn't like children, but the cold attitude of his relatives towards Rin makes him uncomfortable. And then, the relatives' meeting to decide who will have custody of Rin begins at last...

It gets him thinking again about what marriage and family mean.
