Beschrijving
Damages is een Amerikaanse legale thriller-tv-serie gemaakt door het schrijf- en productietrio van Daniel Zelman en de broers Glenn en Todd A. Kessler. De plot draait om de briljante, meedogenloze advocaat Patty Hewes en haar protegee, recent afgestudeerde rechtenacademie Ellen Parsons. Elk seizoen is er een belangrijk geval dat Hewes en haar bedrijf aannemen, terwijl ze ook een hoofdstuk van de ingewikkelde relatie tussen Ellen en Patty onderzoeken. De eerste twee seizoenen staan in het teken van het advocatenkantoor Hewes & Associates. In the final season of Damages, Patty and Ellen are pitted against one another in two separate cases. The first involves a wrongful-death suit brought against Channing McClaren, the founder of a whistleblowing web site, who's implicated in the death of a trader for an investment firm. In the other case, Ellen is called as a witness to testify against Patty in the custody battle with Patty's son, Michael.
