В отдалённом будущем человечество вышло в космическое пространство и бороздит по космическим просторам, люди свободно перемещаются между галактиками. Межзвездный Альянс основал систему "Эдем" и в состав входят восемь галактик. С тех пор люди с самого рождения могут не испытывать боли и забот. Но 1% населения восьми входящих в Альянс галактик до сих пор не может получить доступ к "Эдему", и их ссылают в восьмую галактику, что считается "дефектной" среди людей. И хотя с виду жизнь кажется спокойной, но в ней есть подводные течения. А так как вокруг царят подлые интриги, предательство и политика правит бал, адмирал Альянса Линь Цзинхэн, оказался тем кто, стал не угоден и был перемещён в Восьмую Галактику. Здесь он повстречал Лу Биксин, молодого человека со страстью к образованию...
