Beschrijving
Dexter is een forensisch bloedspatten expert, werkend voor de Miami Metro Politie Afdeling. Hij is de steun en toeverlaat voor zijn zus en heeft een vaste vriendin met twee kinderen die gek op hem zijn. Daarnaast heeft Dexter een nogal actief 'nachtleven'. Strikt volgens een code, opgelegd door zijn stiefvader, Harry, jaagt Dexter op mensen die uit de handen van het rechtssysteem zijn geglipt en zorgt er zo voor dat ze nooit meer een tweede misdaad zullen begaan.

It's been 6 months since the tragic events of Season 7's finale unveiled – Debra now works as a PI for a private firm and Batista has replaced her as Lieutenant. While Dexter is still managing life as a dad, brother, and serial killer. Miami Metro is investigating the murder of a man who has had pieces of his brain removed.

Miami Metro continues their hunt for The Brain Surgeon, while Dr. Vogel enlists Dexter's help. Debra continues to track down her PI case and has to take matters into her own hands.
