Nearly five years after being found guilty of murdering three women he met on the internet, Alan Lane (John Lynch) is back in the headlines as the Court of Appeals has dramatically overturned his convictions. The case goes back to the Old Bailey as new evidence comes to light and the stage is set for a fierce battle between Lane's defence barrister Emma Watts (Julie Walters) and John Mallory (Roger Allam) for the prosecution, And as our twelve jury members, each from very different walks of life, receive their summons, they are unaware that their lives are about to change forever...

    The jurors are forced to face the complexities of their own lives as they are caught up in the experiences of a high profile Old Bailey trial.

    The jurors' messy lives unfold and the mysterious woman shares some useful information with Paul. Lonely Kristina considers internet dating.

    Tahir tells Jeffrey about his experience in Sudan, while Paul and Tasha grow closer over lunch. Katherine has a big decision to make, and Krystyna goes to meet her internet date.

  4. Episode 4

    Jeffrey waits anxiously as Tahir finds out about his US visa, Tasha tells Paul some shocking facts about the first trial, and the jury retire to consider their verdict.

  5. Episode 5

    Paul has spoken to the jury who must reach a decision. Lane and Watts wait anxiously for the verdict. Rashid gives Paul information that makes him question Tasha.
