줄거리

2006년 3월 BBC에서 방영을 시작한 다큐멘터리. BBC와 NHK가 5년에 걸쳐서 촬영하고 제작한 초대형 프로젝트로, 신비함과 아름다움이 넘치는 생명의 별 지구를 전 세계 2백여 곳의 자연과 함께 그 안에서 살아가는 동물들의 생생한 삶의 모습을 주제별로 다룬다. 화질이나 영상미 어느 쪽으로나 절륜한 퀄리티를 자랑하며, 고난도의 압도적인 현장감과 미려한 영상으로 한 편의 드라마를 방불케 하는 자연 다큐멘터리의 진수이자 보는 이에게 저절로 감탄을 불러일으키게 하는 걸작이라 할 수 있다.
