Trama

La serie è incentrata sull'ultimo attacco alla Terra da parte dei Decepticon. Il nostro pianeta è difeso dagli Autobot, comandati da Optimus Prime, i quali fanno conoscenza con alcuni adolescenti, intenzionati a salvare la terra dai nemici invasori. Megatron ritornerà poi con una nuova potente arma, l'Energon Oscuro, prevedendo di usarlo per vincere la guerra contro gli Autobot. Dopo la morte apparente di Megatron, i Decepticon avranno un nuovo leader, Starscream, il cui percorso di conquista è analogo al percorso già intrapreso da Megatron. Gli Autobot devono cercare di fermare in tutti i modi i terribili Decepticon, pronti a conquistare l'universo nonostante la scomparsa del loro leader.
