Overview
Ο Ρενέ Αρτουά έχει ένα καφέ σε μια πόλη της Γαλλίας, την περίοδο της Γερμανικής Κατοχής. Ένα απλό καφέ σαν όλα τα άλλα; Εκ πρώτης όψεως θα έλεγε κανείς, ναι. Εκ δεύτερης, όμως… Κρυμμένοι Βρετανοί πιλότοι κι ένας πολύτιμος πίνακας κάνουν το καφέ του Ρενέ το πιο πολυσύχναστο σημείο συνάντησης… Γερμανοί και Ιταλοί στρατιωτικοί, η Γκεστάπο, Άγγλοι κατάσκοποι, Γάλλοι αντιστασιακοί και ερωμένες μπαινοβγαίνουν στο καφέ του χωρίς το παραμικρό πρόβλημα. Όλοι κάνουν τα στραβά μάτια, γιατί όλοι έχουν κάτι να κερδίσουν… και η ζωή κυλάει ήρεμα… Ποιος έρχεται όμως ξαφνικά και θα φέρει τα πάνω κάτω; Τι θα σκαρφιστεί ο καθένας, για να καλύψει τα νώτα του και να πετύχει το σκοπό του;
