Handlung

Die zehnteilige Miniserie erzählt von der Entstehungsgeschichte des Kultfilms „Der Pate“. Im Zentrum steht der Produzent des Films, Al Ruddy, und dessen Erfahrungen im Vorfeld und bei den Dreharbeiten des Oscar-prämierten Films von Francis Ford Coppola mit Marlon Brando und Al Pacino aus dem Jahr 1972, der wiederum auf einen Roman von Mario Puzo basiert.
