Handlung

Italia Ricci („Unnatural History“) spielt die weibliche Hauptrolle April, eine aufstrebende junge Journalistin, die versucht, Beruf und Familie unter einen Hut zu bringen. Ihre verwitwete Mutter Sara (Mary Page Keller, „New York Cops – N.Y.P.D. Blue“), ihre rebellische kleine Schwester Brenna (Haley Ramm, „Red State“) und ihre Großmutter halten sie auf Trab. Gerade als sich eine Liebesbeziehung mit ihrem Arbeitskollegen Dominic (Richard Brancatisano, „Elephant Princess – Zurück nach Manjipoor“) anbahnt, ereilt April die niederschmetternde Nachricht, dass sie Krebs hat.
