Andy Warhol (6. August 1928 – 22. Februar 1987) war ein US-amerikanischer Zeitschriften- und Werbeillustrator, der zu einem der führenden Künstler der Pop-Art-Bewegung der 1960er Jahre wurde. Er experimentierte mit einer Vielzahl von Kunstformen, darunter Performancekunst, Film, Videoinstallationen und Literatur, und verwischte auf kontroverse Weise die Grenzen zwischen bildender Kunst und Mainstream-Ästhetik.
