Overview
Početkom druge decenije XX veka, Christopher Tietjens (Benedict Cumberbatch; Sherlock, Silent Witness, The Last Enemy), aristokrata vrlo čvrstih moralnih ubeđenja, započinje vrlo turbulentan bračni život sa Silvijom (Rebecca Hall; Red Riding: In the Year of our Lord 1974, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, The Camomile Lawn), visprenom, ali i veoma manipulativnom osobom, koja u aristokratskim krugovima uživa ogroman ugled. Uprkos brojnim poteškoćama, Christopher odlučuje da ostane veran svojoj supruzi. Međutim, njegov život se okreće naglavačke kada upoznaje Valentine (Adelaide Clemens), sufražetkinju bez dlake na jeziku.
